Cystitis and other UTIs disrupting your everyday life?

Cytitis is an annoying disease that greatly interferes with everyday life. You can’t go more than a few meters from the toilet and you can’t sleep because you have to urinate very often. Even the bare thought of going to the toilet is unpleasant, because you are tired of the constant pain and burning sensation when urinating. Your only wish is to get well quickly and enjoy life to the fullest once again.

Symptoms indicating cystitis

Cystitis can be recognized by an increased and urgent need to urinate, a burning sensation when urinating and lower abdominal pain. In many cases of cystitis, the need to urinate occurs very often, but at the same time, the amount of urine excreted is relatively small. A common symptom of cystitis is also an unpleasant odor and discoloration of urine. The situation is serious if, in addition to the above, there is fever and pain in the back or side.

Cystitis risk factors

Different factors can contribute to the development of cystitis. An important factor contributing to the development of cystitis is a cold, which weakens the body’s resistance to infection. Active sexual life increases the probability of contracting cystitis. During pregnancy, incomplete emptying of the bladder often occurs, due to which residual urine is a favorable environment for the growth of bacteria. In connection with menopause, changes occur in the microflora of the urinary tract, which can promote the development of bladder infections.
